The Butlers Did It, LLC is a family-owned consulting firm dedicated to empowering nonprofits to achieve their fundraising potential. With over three decades of combined experience, our mission is to support nonprofits in creating lasting community impact.

Our leadership

Gabrielle and Stephen Butler, both Oklahoma natives, have dedicated their careers to uplifting communities through effective nonprofit work. Their combined experiences in various cities and prestigious organizations have equipped them with unique insights and strategies to help nonprofits thrive.


  • Co-Founder

    Gabrielle has extensive experience in nonprofit leadership. She current serves as the Vice President for Community Engagement for Oklahoma City Community Foundation and previously worked as Director of Development for The LifeShare Foundation and Senior Director of Development for the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits. Gabrielle holds degrees from the University of Oklahoma and DePaul University. She serves on the boards of Oklahoma City Ballet and Healthy Minds Initiative.


  • Co-Founder and Managing Director

    Stephen's background includes roles as Chief Development Officer for Fund for Teachers and Assistant Dean for Advancement at Oklahoma City University School of Law. Stephen previously served as a community organizer in Dallas and Los Angeles and has spent over 15 years in fundraising.He holds finance and juris doctor degrees from the University of Oklahoma.
